According to the attending physician's death record, the man sustained multiple rib fractures, lacerated pulmonary arteries, and head injuries.

Angus and Hereford were known to be gentle back in the mid 1900's, but since that time have been bred for increased beef production while disregarding temperament. The result is an ill-tempered breed. Work is beginning to be done to pay closer attention to the temperament of all beef cattle.
Breed Jersey cow to a Guernsey?... Too big? Good mix?

Always good to remember she could have calving problems anyway, such as a the calf presenting with a front leg back, but that doesn't have anything to do with the breeds.

WEBOct 19, 2010 · Dexter X Jersey is one of the most popular crosses. If you have a low quality Jersey, any of the smaller breeds is fine. A search of each of the breeds will give you average birth weights. The Highlands I've seen around here are selling as cull cattle, not worth much. I find cross breeding Jersey distasteful.

WEBSep 17, 2005 · I milk Holsteins, but I'd say an excellent dual purpose cow is the Shorthorn, either the Milking Shorthorn or the beef Shorthorn. You don't have to breed a Shorthorn to an Angus to get a good beef steer. A Shorthorn steer is plenty good. Shorthorns are good grazers, efficient feed-to-milk converters and have tremendous longevity.

The Brown Swiss' milk has butterfat content right behind the Guernsey, which is behind the Jersey percentage-wise, for butter and cream products. Some Jerseys will produce nearly as much as the Brown Swiss.

The miniature zebu can add the same desirable characterstics to mini cattle that their larger counter parts did to the regular beef cattle, heat tolerance, disease resistance, good mothering and milking abilities.
