If you want a true metal handle and want to spend the bucks ( 120.00), you can go for a Pils Sensor handle. Shavemac also sells nice handles for Sensor cartridges. I have one like this and it's very nice - heavy and feels good in the hand.

The Sensor probably is most comfortable of the modern cartridge razors. When you can find 'em, the cartridges are very expensive. It's shaver-friendly, as it's virtually impossible to cut or to nick the face.

The excel carts will disappear before the trac II or Atra since head shavers use them, and both were around longer than the Sensor with more sold. All I ever got from the Mach 3 was razor bumps and ingrown hairs as the blades age.

They weren't specific if they are still being made and sold in countries other than the U.S., If you have some blades and no handle both the sensor and sensor excel will fit on a sensor 3 or a custom 3 handle. WEBJan 10, 2017 · Original Sensor handles were available in the UK until around 3 years ago, when they were replaced by the Blue 3 version, this has now disappeared. There were many being sold from South Korea in the last 18 months, but they appear to have dried up. Aftermarket Sensor's were popular in Germany, but were very expensive.
