Hi Dan we are in Quito for 3 days prior to a Galapagos tour but are unsure about whether to stay in the Old Town area or closer to the Hotel we will start out tour. We love walking wherever possible but happy to get transport to places like the Middle of World /Cable Car etc. any advice. Thank-you

Is Monday still a bad day to do a city tour ie are all the churches and museums closed

Churches don't close on Mondays. Presidential Palace, Stop 10, is open 7 days a week, with reduced hours on Sat and Sunday. You can spend hours at his stop alone.
