Great hike especially if you haven’t been to Antelope Canyon. Only $6 permit too. We have done Antelope several times but still enjoyed the variety here. The entrance can be tricky- right turn off 89… Full review by DeRiz

From the south, after you leave the Powell Dam, near a curve on Hiway 89, watch for a left turn off - - House Rock Valley Road #6005. It’s hard to see the entrance of the road. This road is a flat d… Full review by BarbieMurphy

We made the quick drive from Kanab and had no trouble with my phone’s GPS working. We pulled into the first parking lot and quickly realized we needed to go down one more. It was a bumpy drive but … Full review by tommJ7563US
Can you hike wire pass only? Is there a pickup service to take you back to your car?
A:
Sorry I took so long to answer, I would look up Dreamland Safaris based in Kanab. They would have all of this information! We drove so I am not sure about shuttles.
Is open Wire Pass Trial? We’re planning a trip to Kanab but it looks like everything is closed :(

It’s just that the road can be rough and quite washboardy, with some dips as it crosses a wash where you can bang up the front of your car. If you drive very slowly over those parts and it doesn’t rain, it should be OK in a Prius.
How quickly was the 8ft boulder? I'm asking because we want to bring our dog so if it's further in the trail we will bring the dog, but if it's immediate then we wont.

It’s a fairly long walk on a wide road like trail once you leave the parking lot. Then The drop is right at the beginning of the slot canyon. You can avoid the drop altogether if you just climb up an alternative path immediately before the drop. there are Cairens marking the path and a dog could easily do that climb up and down. Just look to your right before you walk into the slot where the drop is.
