I believe that if you want to look at pictures of a particular campground, than looking at pictures and reviews, with a map on TripAdvisor and Google would be the best option.

It's been a while since I've been there, there is a gate house but I don't remember seeing anything about renting equipment. Check out the Otonabee Conservation site (not able to post links here). There's a contact number, and the site does share to bring headlamps. I got a really affordable 3 pack from Canadian Tire.
