I would say it depends on the 5 year old. The day I was there, I saw several field trip groups that looked to be 5-6 years old. If your 5 year old is like my grandson-rambunctious and active- I wouldn’t take that type of personality. (I did not take my grand.) However, some 5 year olds are more serious and inquisitive, and they may appreciate the library. There is a large area related to 9/11, so I would say you need to be prepared for some discussion with children.
There are many to choice from. La Quinta, Hilton, and Marriott properties. Some very new. Central Expressway south from Northwest Highway to Mockingbird Lane.
