The 2025 college football season has its share of dark horses that could cause a major shakeup in the coming weeks as we approach the second half of the regular season.

Week 7 shook up the College Football Playoff picture. No team earned a more impactful result than Indiana, whose win at Oregon is now the best in the country during the first half of the season. Indiana's playoff chances jumped 21%, climbing to a 93% chance to make the playoff, according to the Allstate Playoff Predictor.

The Red Raiders have one of the most balanced teams in college football. They rank No. 1 in total offense, No. 3 in passing offense and No. 14 in rushing offense. On defense, they rank No. 9 in total defense, No. 41 in passing defense and No. 1 in rushing defense.

For the first time this season, five SEC teams found a spot in the projected bracket this week, including a meteoric rise from Ole Miss following its victory over LSU and Alabama's win at Georgia. The Rebels' jump to No.

Three teams from Tennessee are ranked No. 13-21 for best odds to make the playoff: No. 14 Vanderbilt (4-0, 1-0 SEC), No. 15 Memphis (4-0) and No. 21 Tennessee (3-1, 0-1 SEC). The Vols are ranked No. 15 in the US LBM Coaches Poll after Week 4, while Vanderbilt is 20th. Memphis is receiving 55 votes.
