Vuichard was arrested and charged with first-degree murder on May 19, 2021. According to the Oakland County Prosecutor's Office, police responded to Vuichard's Commerce Township home for a welfare check after his wife did not show up to work on May 17, 2021.

A Commerce Township man has been found guilty of murdering his wife, a longtime employee of the Novi Community Schools District. At the conclusion of a trial Tuesday in Oakland County Circuit Court, the jury returned with the verdict against 67-year-old Vincent Vuichard for the slaying of Tatiana “Tanya” Vuichard.

Vincent Vuichard, 66, was convicted Tuesday of first-degree murder, which carries a mandatory sentence of life in prison.
