Arizona Diamondbacks third baseman Eugenio Suarez had a CT scan and an MRI on Tuesday on his right hand and both came back negative, according to reports. Steve Gilbert, the Diamondbacks’ beat reporter for MLB.com, and Bob Nightengale of MLB.com reported that there were no breaks in Suarez’s hand.

The Detroit Tigers made their first move ahead of the Thursday, July 31, 6 p.m. ET MLB trade deadline. But instead of creating a splash, the transaction might barely make a ripple.

The Detroit Tigers have landed on The Athletic’s list of the most desperate teams to add a bat before Thursday’s trade deadline. The Tigers are the third most desperate according to the list, since their offense spiraled in July.

The Diamondbacks appear to be taking concrete steps towards an eventual Eugenio Suarez trade involving either the Tigers or Yankees.
