The third and final segment of qualifying for the Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix was delayed. The reason? A hard shunt from Williams driver Franco Colapinto late in Q2 spread debris over the Las Vegas Street Circuit, requiring a lengthy inspection of the wall Colapinto slammed into.

George Russell topped the time sheets in the final practice ahead of qualifying at the Formula One Las Vegas Grand Prix on Friday, beating out McLaren's Oscar Piastri and Ferrari's Carlos Sainz.

Lewis Hamilton led George Russell to a Mercedes one-two in first practice at the Las Vegas Grand Prix. Hamilton headed Russell by 0.396 after they traded fastest times at the end of the session, having set the pace throughout the hour.

Hamilton topped the opening practice times after saying he wanted to quit Mercedes following 10th place in Brazil.
