Well, the latest casting news hints at what fans of the slasher sequels should expect from the 2026 sequel. Deadline reports that “ 1883 ” and “ 1923 ” actress Isabel May joins the cast as the daughter of Neve Campbell ‘s Sidney Prescott.

Facing the franchise falling apart, Spyglass Entertainment decided to get back to Scream basics by capitulating to Campbell’s salary requests and bringing in Kevin Williamson (who wrote the screenplays for the first and fourth Scream entries) to direct.
