Florida CFO Jimmy Patronis is running for Congress after Matt Gaetz declined to return to the House of Representatives following withdrawing his consideration for the U.S. Attorney General post.

RUN, JIMMY, RUN!”  Trump said as he endorsed Patronis to run for the northwest Florida congressional seat left vacant by Gaetz.

Trump also threw his endorsement behind state Sen. Randy Fine, R-Brevard County, as a replacement for former U.S. Rep. Mike Waltz. Trump tapped Waltz to serve as national security advisor. Waltz submitted his resignation from Congressional District 6 on Monday, according to Florida Secretary of State Cord Byrd.
