A man is behind bars and is now charged with assault with intent to murder after multiple people were stabbed in downtown Kalamazoo last week.

KALAMAZOO, MI -- A man accused of stabbing three people and punching another person in the face last week in downtown Kalamazoo went before a judge on Monday, Sept. 16, to hear the official counts against him.

The man accused of attacking multiple people in Kalamazoo last week made his first appearance in court on Monday.

One person was stabbed at Bronson Park and others were attacked nearby during the violent attacks, police said.
