Kangana Ranaut recently posted a picture of a woman in uniform with PM Modi on her Instagram story, seen as a powerful picture of women empowerment. However, security sources confirmed that the woman is not part of the SPG but a Personal Security Officer (PSO) assigned to President Droupadi Murmu.

SPG's sole responsibility is to give protection to the Prime Minister and was formed in 1988 by an Act of the Parliament of India.
