GNX is his sixth studio album and it came out under the labels PGLang and Interscope. It is his first album that Lamar has released since he officially left Top Dawg. Many of the songs on the album were produced by Jack Antonoff.

The pgLang/Interscope Records artist surprise-dropped GNX on November 22, delivering 12 new tracks like "squabble up" and "wacced out murals."

The album is now Lamar’s fifth total and consecutive chart-topping album.
