AEW President Tony Khan provides updates on the statuses of Kenny Omega, Ricky Starks and Adam Copeland amidst their AEW absences.

Tony Khan says fans should keep an eye out for some great stars returning to AEW. Kenny Omega has been absent from AEW programming since May, as he was recovering after surgery due to diverticulitis.

Since an appearance at New Japan’s Power Struggle show earlier this month, Omega’s been building to a match with NJPW Strong champion Gabe Kidd. They brawled backstage, and have been exchanging words ever since.

Omega also talks about his potential return to New Japan Pro Wrestling instead of AEW, citing a desire to repay the promotion that launched his career.

Kenny Omega‘s in-ring return has been confirmed for NJPW x AEW Wrestle Dynasty. Former AEW World Champion Kenny Omega has not wrestled since December 2023, as he has been sidelined with diverticulitis.

Omega left WWE's Deep South Wrestling (DSW) territory in October 2006. The AEW Executive Vice President said in a 2017 interview on E&C's Pod of Awesomeness that he felt "mindf****d" by his WWE experience. He also criticized trainer Bill DeMott.

Big Boom AJ says he’ll be back in AEW if he’s welcome to come back. Big Boom AJ of The Costco Guys appeared on AEW programming ahead of AEW Full Gear, and he competed on the Zero Hour ahead of the pay-per-view.
