Martin Odegaard has returned to full training ahead of Arsenal's crucial matches against Inter and Chelsea this week.

Arsenal will be without Declan Rice because of injury for the Champions League match against Inter Milan on Wednesday but could welcome back captain Martin Odegaard after two months out. Rice sustained a foot injury in the 1-0 loss at Newcastle in the Premier League on Saturday and has not traveled to Italy.

Declan Rice will play no part in Arsenal’s Champions League match against Inter Milan on Wednesday after being left out of the club’s 23-man travelling party. The 25-year-old midfielder played the full 90 minutes in Arsenal’s 1-0 defeat to Newcastle United on Saturday but will not fly to Italy with the rest of the first-team squad after missing training on Tuesday afternoon with an unspecified issue.

Martin Odegaard is set to hand Arsenal a major boost by making his comeback against Inter Milan. Odegaard – who has been out of action since September with an ankle injury – trained alongside his team-mates at Arsenal’s London Colney base on Tuesday morning.
