Restrictions on fire and grilling are in place across the Philadelphia region as a means to prevent wildfires.

Firefighters in New Jersey were stretched even thinner on Friday when another wildfire broke out in the state's bone-dry conditions. At least four wildfires were burning in the state, stretching from the Pinelands in the central and western parts of the state to the New York City suburbs.

Multiple wildfires have erupted across New Jersey amid windy and dry conditions. New Jersey residents should be prepared for smoke conditions to last for several days, the New Jersey Forest Fire Service warned on Friday.
