Remembrance Day events in Winnipeg
Amid major wars throughout much of the world, Winnipeggers will pause on Nov. 11 to remember those who have served, and continue to serve Canada during times of war, conflict and peace. More than 2.3 million Canadians have served in such a capacity, and more than 118,000 gave their lives and futures in hope we may live in peace.
Remembrance Day ceremonies in Winnipeg’s west, and beyond
St. James Legion No. 4, at 1755 Portage Ave., will host a Remembrance Day ceremony at Bruce Park at 10:45 a.m. on Nov. 11. Everyone is welcome to join the ceremony either at Bruce Park, or back at the Legion during the afternoon.
