Indiana head coach Curt Cignetti was proud of his team following a 38-3 Rose Bowl win over Alabama in the College Football Playoff quarterfinals on Thursday.

“A historically humiliating performance,” Finebaum said. “Alabama fans will have a difficult time swallowing a 35-point loss to Indiana in the Rose Bowl. Never good when it’s the worst loss since something that happened during the (former Alabama coach Mike) DuBose era.”

The Hoosiers' Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback had more touchdowns than interceptions in the Rose Bowl. Known for celebrating his teammates, he dropped a new term.

Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson was replaced by backup Austin Mack after suffering an injury during the team's Rose Bowl clash with Indiana on Thursday.
