Transgender residents in Odessa, Texas, have been banned from using single-gender bathrooms in public buildings that align with their gender identity. Alexander Ermels, a transgender man, made the decision to start using the men's room after he experienced a negative response to being in the women's bathroom -- which he would be forced to use under the Odessa bathroom policy.
