Hampton Roads is bracing for severe storms, including risks for hail and strong winds, Thursday through Saturday.
The twister touched down in Atlantic County with winds of 65 to 75 mph. Storms ripped down trees and flooded roads.
The forecast from KXAS-TV (NBC5) is showing a 20% chance of rain in Dallas at noon, with rain chances slowly increasing over the rest of the afternoon. There is a 40% chance of rain at 3 p.m., which will increase to 80% by 5 p.m.
The storms are part of the system that spawned tornadoes that killed at least 21 people in Missouri and southeastern Kentucky, NWS says.
A severe thunderstorm warning for northern Kaufman County and southeastern Dallas County has been canceled. At 10:12 p.m., a severe thunderstorm was detected over Combine, near Seagoville, moving northeast at 50 mph.
