Kelly Oubre Jr. has not played since Nov. 14 due to a left knee sprain in the midst of playing the best basketball of his career. In the 12 games Oubre has played, he's averaging 16.8 points, 5.1 rebounds, and shooting 49.7% from the floor and 34.3% from deep. Speaking with reporters, Oubre gave an update on where he's at in his injury recovery.
Maxey, Grimes and Edgecombe are second, fourth and fifth, respectively, in clutch minutes played this season. Edgecombe is shooting 60.7 percent in clutch situations, including 8-for-13 from 3-point range (61.5). Maxey is averaging 42.3 points per 100 possessions in crunch time; his season average per 100 is 37.4.
Kelly Oubre Jr. could be nearing a return. Sixers coach Nick Nurse said earlier this week that Oubre, sidelined since Nov. 14 with a sprained left knee, may be able to return during Philadelphia’s current road trip.
