Superstar Rajinikanth on Friday declined to comment on an expectation in the ruling DMK that Sports Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin will soon be elevated as Deputy Chief Minister. Later in the day, Stalin deprecated disturbing the top actor with a question on the matter while he was on his way to work.

As soon as he exited the airport, news reporters gathered around and asked him multiple questions. One journalist enquired about the guest list for the audio launch event of Vettaiyan and, in his usual polite manner, Rajinikanth said, “I don’t know, sir,” smiling while he answered the question.

Udhayanidhi Stalin has shot down speculation around Rajinikanth being upset with his possible elevation as the Deputy Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. He was referring to a clickbait headline.

Rajinikanth is gearing up for the audio launch of his upcoming movie Vettaiyan today, September 20. The audio launch will happen in Chennai and for the same, the superstar was earlier today snapped at the airport.
