NBC Sports host Mike Tirico said Monday he is feeling fine after having to leave the Kentucky Derby broadcast early over the weekend because of a strong reaction to a nut allergy.

After abruptly leaving the set of NBC's coverage of the 151st running of the Kentucky Derby on Saturday afternoon, host Mike Tirico revealed through a post on X (formerly Twitter) that his exit was due to a "significant reaction to [his] nut allergy".

Mike Tirico was, as usual, manning the anchor position for NBC at the 2025 Kentucky Derby ... and then he wasn't. As he announced on Saturday -- as did the broadcast -- Tirico had to deal with a nut allergy that knocked him out of commission.
