Toyota’s ROX Concept debuts at the SEMA Show with an open-air design inspired by the Land Cruiser’s rugged past.

Unlike Toyota Motor North America's own Land Cruiser build that will hit your nostalgic bones, Jeff Westcott went for a hardcore off-roader that's capable of running at speeds on dirt. "The idea was to take a factory production vehicle and turn it into a capable racing machine," said Westcott, owner and builder at Westcott Designs.

Toyota is taking enthusiasts on a nostalgia-fueled desert trip with the reveal of the Land Cruiser ROX concept, an open-top twist on its hybrid off-road SUV.

Vintage style meets modern capability in Proffitt's 1959 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ28 pickup restomod, which just debuted at the SEMA Show.

Modellista lists two U.S. distributors: MKS Engineering, Inc. and Tien USA, Inc., both based in California. Its parts are also apparently available through certain California Toyota and Lexus dealers, plus two Toyota dealers near Topeka, Kansas, and Omaha, Nebraska, of all places.

Presented at the Toyota booth, the Overland Vision Concept is an entirely new approach for Modellista as it focuses heavily on what the company considers to be the latest trends in off-road customization,

Toyota gave a pretty wild makeover to its ladder-frame SUVs for this year’s SEMA show. The Land Cruiser ROX Concept is a pickup version of the new SUV reimagined with an arsenal of custom parts, while the 4Runner TRD Surf Concept is a beach-bound two-door throwback with unmistakable ‘80s vibes.

Toyota will showcase a unique concept based on the Land Cruiser 250 that will debut at the SEMA Show 2024 (Specialty Equipment Market Association Show), which takes place every year in Las Vegas, USA.
