Efforts to battle mosquitoes carrying West Nile virus in Pennsylvania continue this week as the Bucks County Department of Health plans to spray multiple areas in Lower Makefield Township.

There have been three human cases of West Nile Virus in California this year, with one fatal case, according to the California Department of Public Health.

A mosquito sample collected last week on North Military Highway in Norfolk has tested positive for the West Nile virus, the first such positive test in the city this season, according to the Norfolk Department of Public Health.
