Newly released Louisville police footage shows officers helping people get to safety during the deadly UPS plane crash, along with aerial views of the early destruction and the initial reaction

Emergency crews are investigating a small plane crash in Southeast Texas, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.

The footage depicts LMPD’s Air Unit guiding responders on the ground as officers helped with search efforts and directed people away from the site.

A plane crash was reported at the Philippi-Barbour County Regional Airport to Barbour County 911 on Thursday at 12:36 p.m.

The government-commissioned simulation concluded that all passengers would have survived with only minor injuries.
