Shockwaves have been sent through the world of comic books after DC Comics announced that Dan Slott is leaving Marvel to take charge of a new ongoing Superman Unlimited series launching this coming

2025 is shaping up to be a huge year for the Man of Steel, with a new movie on the horizon and the current core titles – Action Comics, Superman, and Absolute Superman – all in fine form. It's not too surprising, then, that DC is expanding the Man of Steel's slate by adding a brand new ongoing series in May: Superman Unlimited.

Slott, who has been signed to an exclusive contract with Marvel since the late aughts, will make his DC debut with Superman Unlimited, writing the monthly comic that will be drawn by Rafael Albuquerque, the artist and co-creator of the award-winning horror comic American Vampire. DC announced the news Thursday.
