The University of Arizona men’s basketball team (11-5, 5-0 in Big 12) brought down Baylor University in a 81-70 home victory on Tuesday, Jan. 14 at 9 p.m. in McKale Center, keeping their current 7-0 winning streak alive.

Head coach Tommy Lloyd is preparing the team for the tougher Big 12 games ahead, starting Tuesday when the Wildcats host Baylor at McKale Center.

Arizona continued its winning streak and undefeated Big 12 record by beating Baylor, 81-70 on Tuesday for the program's seventh-straight win.

The University of Arizona men’s basketball team extended its winning streak to six-games with an 88-80 victory against the University of Central Florida on Jan. 11 in McKale Center, improving to 10-5 overall and 4-0 in Big 12 play.

Baylor is a talented team that is still finding its footing. Its offense relies on grabbing offensive rebounds, ranking 18th nationally with 14.1 per game. That style of play will be difficult to execute against an Arizona team that ranks ninth in rebounding percentage (56.4%).

The Wildcats built a 27-point lead and held off the Bears’ furious comeback attempt that whittled the lead down to as little as nine points.

Despite a sixth consecutive victory, Lloyd is not satisfied with how Arizona is playing. That's a scary thought for the rest of the Big 12. "We've got to get better possession by possession, because they all add up.
