Usually female skunks have anywhere from 2 to 12 in a litter with the average being 6. Baby skunks usually get their scent at 3 weeks, but they aren’t able to aim until around 4 months old.

For skunks, being nocturnal means mating typically occurs at night. Male skunks are polygamous and mate with multiple female skunks during the season.
