China's box office remained strong post-Lunar New Year, with “Ne Zha 2” continuing its historic run. The Enlight release earned RMB1.98 billion ($275.3 million) over the Feb. 14–16 weekend, bringing its total to $1.

Ne Zha 2” has earned almost $1.3 billion, becoming China’s highest-grossing movie of all time and the first non-Hollywood film to cross the billion-dollar mark.

China posted a record $1.3 billion in box office receipts over the week-long Lunar New Year holiday, suggesting efforts to boost consumer spending are working.

The fantasy animation “Ne Zha 2” has set a new record in China by earning 7.7 billion yuan (US$1.05 billion) within its first 10 days of release.
