CNN is being mocked for sympathetically asking a Mexican cartel gangbanger how he felt about President Trump branding them as terrorists — just for him to say he respects the commander in chief.

The cartel is believed to number between 6,000 and 9,000 members, according to government estimates. Since peace efforts stalled, Colombia's government has launched a series of attacks on the group.
