Multiple wildfires have erupted across New Jersey amid windy and dry conditions. A large brush fire broke out on the Palisades Interstate Parkway in Bergen County in northern New Jersey, near New York City.

Firefighters in New Jersey were stretched even thinner on Friday when another wildfire broke out in the state's bone-dry conditions.

There is a critical fire danger in New Jersey as multiple brush fires continue to burn in in the Garden State on Friday. At least four wildfires were burning in the state, stretching from the Pinelands in the central and western parts of the state to the New York City suburbs.
