A Cold Weather Advisory is in effect for locations on the Caprock from midnight to 9 a.m. Monday, so brace yourselves for another chilly night. Lows will be in the teens for most, but a few single digits cannot be ruled out for some areas.

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - Today is a First Alert Weather Day because of wintry precipitation creating some slick driving conditions. As of 6 a.m., the Lubbock Police Department has already responded to some wrecks, even though precipitation amounts have been fairly light.

A dangerously cold wind chill and a low chance of flurries or light snow will impact North Texas through Wednesday afternoon.

The cold weather advisory is in effect due to wind chills dropping "feels-like" temperatures to single digits.
