A man accused of robbing several banks in South Jersey was caught last month in Ukraine. Edward Deveaux, of Berlin Township, robbed three South Jersey banks within a week in September 2022, according to the Camden County Prosecutor's Office.

A 29-year-old Camden County man accused of robbing three New Jersey banks in 2022 was recently arrested in Ukraine, authorities said. Edward Deveaux has been held in a Ukrainian jail following his arrest in Lviv, Ukraine, on Feb. 25, the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office announced Wednesday.

Police officials announced on Wednesday that they have arrested a 29-year-old Berlin Township man in Ukraine after he was sought for his suspected involvement in a trio of bank robberies in New Jersey.

After two years on the run, the Camden County Prosecutor's Office said the suspect was discovered approximately 4,500 miles away.
