Turkish side Besiktas have appointed former Manchester United player and manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as head coach, the club has confirmed.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, former Manchester United manager, has been appointed as the new manager of Turkish Super Lig club Besiktas. The Norwegian signs a deal until the end of next season, marking his first managerial role since 2021.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made a former Manchester United player a priority signing after taking the reins at Besiktas, reports claim. The Norwegian spent three years out of management after being sacked by United following a dismal run of form which culminated with a heavy 4-1 defeat at the hands of Watford.
