More than 25,000 residents in three provinces have been evacuated as dozens of wildfires remained active Sunday and diminished air quality in parts of Canada and the U.S., according to officials.

To date this year, there have been 3,582 fires. The smoke floating over the border shared between America and Canada is now impacting air quality in states as far south as Texas, AirNow's data shows.
