Images of what looks like the next Nintendo console are leaked online, giving gamers a possible glimpse at the upcoming Switch successor.

According to a new leak, Nintendo has started production on the Switch 2, which might also be the console's official name.

Official news on the Nintendo Switch 2 remains elusive beyond Nintendo confirming it’s working on a follow-up to its wildly popular home console/handheld hybrid system. But our wait for a first glimpse at Nintendo’s next-gen hardware may be over thanks to a new leak.

Assuming the prototype images and specifications are legitimate, the Switch 2 will feature a bigger 8-inch display with a thin bezel. As points of reference, the Switch OLED features a 7-inch OLED display, while the regular Switch and Switch Lite feature 6.2-inch and 5.5-inch IPS displays, respectively, all with a 1280x720 resolution.

The purportedly leaked information, if accurate, shows that the design won't change much, but there are major hardware upgrades inside.
