A medical transport jet crashed in Philadelphia on Friday about 30 seconds after taking off, setting homes ablaze, strewing debris and rattling residents after the second air disaster in as many days.

A small plane has crashed in Northeast Philadelphia, sparking a fiery scene and prompting a response from emergency crews. Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro confirmed the crash on Friday and offered "all Commonwealth resources" to assist with the response.

Shriners Children's said the child on board had received care and was being taken back to her home country of Mexico, along with her mother, when the crash happened.
