Prince Harry is scheduled to return to Britain this month to attend the Wellchild Awards. The charity, for which the Duke of Sussex is a patron, holds the event annually to celebrate children who are living with serious illnesses.

Prince Harry is “honored” to head back to his native U.K. for charity purposes, just days after receiving birthday wishes from his estranged royal relatives. The 40-year-old Duke of Sussex will appear as the guest of honor at the annual WellChild awards later this month,

Prince Harry will return to Britain just two weeks after his 40th birthday to celebrate the "remarkable courage and achievements of children living with complex medical needs," he said in a statement.

Prince Harry is heading back to the U.K. much sooner than royal observers anticipated. The royal will be going to the 2024 WellChild Awards on September 30, as he is a patron of the organization which provides support to children and young people that are seriously ill.
