Novak Djokovic moved a step closer to his 100th ATP title on Saturday when he beat American seventh seed Taylor Fritz 6-4 7-6(6) in the Shanghai Masters semi-finals to set up a title decider against top-ranked Jannik Sinner.

Novak Djokovic and Taylor Fritz have advanced to a semifinal matchup at the Shanghai Masters. Four-time champion Djokovic fought back from a set down to beat Czech player Jakub Mensik 6-7 (4), 6-1, 6-4 in the quarterfinals.

Both Sinner and Djokovic won their semifinal matches in straight sets on Saturday. Both also had the same relative degree of difficulty in winning their matches. Sinner defeated Tomas Machac 6-4 7-5, while Djokovic defeated Taylor Fritz 6-4 7-6 (6). The victory was the Serb's tenth straight over the American.
