Mayor of West Memphis Marco McClendon said this is a bad situation and not a good look for the city of West Memphis.

A statement released by the department that the officers have been placed on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.

West Memphis mayor Marco McClendon said state prosecutors are investigating, and the nature of the investigation is for misconduct. WMPD confirmed on Tuesday that the officers involved had been placed on paid administrative leave.

Four West Memphis officers have been placed on leave after a sexual misconduct investigation was launched.
