The Alien franchise has been on an upswing lately. The latest movie, Alien: Romulus, was regarded as a decent return to the series’ claustrophobic survival horror roots after the wild creative swings that were taken by Promethus and Alien: Covenant. There’s also an Alien TV show set to debut next year, helmed by Fargo showrunner Noah Hawley.

The Alien franchise has had a long history in video games, but few games have come quite as close to being perfect as Alien: Isolation.

Sega and Creative Assembly announced that after a decade of fans asking and pleading for an Alien: Isolation sequel, it’s actually happening. However, it’ll still probably be at least a year or two before we’ll see the highly anticipated horror game.
