U.S. Sen. Chris Van Hollen on Tuesday made a direct appeal to President Donald Trump in the continuing case of Kilmar Abrego Garcia.

Maryland Sen. Chris Van Hollen sent a letter to President Trump on Tuesday detailing the conversation he had about Kilmar Abrego Garcia with the vice president of El Salvador.

Democratic Maryland Sen. Chris Van Hollen told ABC's "This Week" that his trip to El Salvador to meet deportee Kilmar Abrego Garcia was not a defense of the man, but his right to due process. "The Trump administration has admitted in court that he was wrongfully detained and wrongfully deported.
