First Alert Weather: Quiet weekend ahead, but all eyes on the Gulf next week
THE NEXT 24 HOURS: The autumnal equinox officially arrives at 7:43 Sunday morning. However, the summer heat is here to stay through early next week. We will remain dry and full of sunshine Friday, Saturday, and Sunday with highs in the low 90s. Lows this weekend will be near 70º. Rain is not likely over the next 5 days.
First Alert Forecast: Warm weather continues into the weekend, but we could see changes for next week
The hot and mostly dry weather pattern is not going anywhere for at least a couple more days, but we may see our first true cold front next week! Friday should look much like what we saw Thursday with mostly sunny skies and little to no chance of rain.
FIRST ALERT: Stray shower today, first dry September weekend
