Munster attack coach Mike Prendergast has confirmed his name is in the hat to take over the top job vacated by Graham Rowntree at the end of October.

Mike Prendergast has confirmed his interest in becoming head coach of Munster next season, as the province continue their search for Graham Rowntree's replacement.

The former scrum-half and current attack coach opened his bid to become Munster’s first homegrown head coach since his former team-mate, the late Anthony Foley.
