Pittsburgh police are investigating a stabbing in the city's Lawrenceville neighborhood overnight. It happened in the 4000 block of Butler Street around 4:15 a.m. Police were called to the area for reports of an aggravated assault after a man walked into a local business on the block to call 911.

The Blue Jackets built a 4-1 lead on Jan. 4 but failed to pressure the Pittsburgh Penguins on offense past the first period. The result was a 5-4 overtime loss, the third time the Jackets have lost against the Penguins this season after holding a multi-goal lead.
