Crews were on scene working to douse the fire at WB Scrap Metal at 5000 Paris Road as of 5:30 p.m., according to Kim Gritter, a spokesperson for the Sheriff's Office. Paris Road was closed in both directions and motorists were asked to avoid the area, Gritter said.
