The Penn State football program is losing another offensive lineman to the NCAA transfer portal. Confirmed by On3’s Pete Nakos, redshirt freshman Michael Troutman is set to move on from the Nittany Lions this offseason.
Penn State football announced Tuesday that three more coaches had officially joined Matt Campbell’s 2026 staff. All three were on the defensive side – Tyson Veidt (linebackers), Ikaika Malloe (defensive line/run game coordinator) and Dan Connor (assistant linebackers).
With safeties Zakee Wheatley, Dejuan Lane and King Mack no longer at Penn State, Neal instantly slots in as Penn State’s top safety. Neal’s decision helps patch a major roster need for the 2026 season, as Campbell brought in one of the most sought-after defensive players in the portal.
Penn State football has landed a commitment from class of 2026 three-star running back D'Antae Sheffey, he announced on his X account Wednesday. The high school senior elected to stay home, coming from State College Area High School. In 2025, Sheffey was named first-team all-state after rushing for 1,613 yards and 26 touchdowns.
